ANNUAL DRUMMOND ISLAND HUMMER® ADVENTURE
Date:  July 27, 28, 29, 2007

Summer is approaching and the island is awaiting.  Drummond Island has spectacular views, like one would expect to see on a calendar or a postcard.  The Maxton Plains portion of the Island has a very unique ecosystem that is studied by people worldwide.(Stay on the road in the Maxton Plains!!!!)  Nothing grows more than a few inches tall for miles in this area.  There will be a sightseeing portion to this event, as well as off road trails. Last years event signed up several new volunteers up for RED Cross/HOPE.  With trail certification & CPR training both given at the event.  Even if you do not wish to volunteer your services to the Red Cross, there is still some very valuable information that you can learn about safety & your vehicles capabilities off road.

The event is open to all Hummer vehicles that register & pay their event fees prior to the event.  This year, a portion of your event fee will be donated to both the Red Cross, & The Drummond Island Off Road Association. (Please see registration form for registration info.)  There are trails for every skill level of driver, from beginner (no scratches) to extreme!! (Scratches.)  The HOPE training trails are somewhere in-between.

We discovered Turtle Ridge Off Road Park in its first year of operation & we were thrilled!!!  Since then, we have been working with Steve Walker, President of the Drummond Island Off Road Association, to expand Turtle Ridge & make it more HUMMER friendly.  You’ll love all 450 or so acres of it…but you’ll only see a fraction of that in the time that we have for the event!!  Again this year, in the true spirit of a HUMMER® off road event, pack out what you packed in.  If you see any trash along the way, please stop & take it with you.  If we leave with the Island cleaner than when we arrived, we’ll always have a beautiful place to go off road.

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center approximately 5 minutes away from Turtle Ridge Off Road Park.  There are other accommodations available on the Island as well.  Lodging & other important information will be included in your registration packet.  Hope to see you there!!!

You can get complete details from the event flyer.
